Shake that Tutu!

What could possibly be better than a card with our Tutu and Ballerina Fri-Dies??
Anyone know the answer??
Ok, I'll tell's a Shaker Card with Tutu and Ballerina Fri-Dies!
Jeanne is shaking things up with this adorable shaker card!

She stamped a happy background using our Pretty Posies stamp set, then cut out a shape for her Ballerina Fri-Die cut Tutu dancer to solo in. She filled the back with Sistahood Sparkle sequins (they are on sale!) and finished it off with a sweet sentiment from Tutu.
This would be a great thank you card or congratulations card.

Blow Out That Bonfire!

I love birthdays!
Well, let me clear...I don't love the getting older part of them, but I DO love the cake and presents and fun parts of them!!
Kimberly has whipped up a really cool card featuring our Shenanigans which is perfect for the card recipient who appreciates a little sass.

She used her MISTI to line up the sentiment perfectly for the repeat stamping.
She used bright Distress Oxide ink colors to create that fun party-like background and then heat embossed the big bold sentiment in black.

The cool thing about this particular card design is that it could work for either male or female recipients. The blue and black panels behind the stamped panel give it a masculine feel but you could simply swap out the blue for pink, add a few scattered sequins and it instantly becomes feminine.
This is one you could have in your stash for those birthday card emergencies!

Inlaid die cutting... Love Ya!

Do you know what's awesome about Valentine's Day? It reminds us to honor our loves...every day!
Whether you love your significant other, your friend or anyone who really matters to you, you don't have to wait for Valentine's Day to wish them love. We have 364 days til the next Valentine's Day, and that provides a LOT of time for "love ya's"

Shona has a sweet card that fits my little message perfectly!

She stamped that pretty Heart to Heart background, colored it, then fussy cut it so she could pop it up with pop dots. Before she did that, she die cut the Love Ya Fri-Die and inlaid it into the pretty background in a contrasting color to make it pop too!

Heart to Heart is on reorder and should be back in stock near the end of this month. In the meantime, you can find it at Simon Says Stamp!

You Don't look a Day over Fabulous!

Happy Tuesday!
I am totally in love with today's card from Lisa. As someone who is doing the sideways skid into 50 (the big day is coming this April) I am seriously patting myself on the back for creating this awesome stamp set, Bomb Diggity
Look what it can do!

Lisa killed it with this card! Here's how she did it:
"For today's project I decided to go glam, and had fun heat embossing with the Bomb Diggity Stamp Set. To create this card I started by stamping and embossing part of my sentiment in white embossing powder onto Kraft Cardstock. To help the Fabulous part of the sentiment stand out I heat embossed the word onto White cardstock and used a Gold embossing powder for the top of the word and faded it into a Rose Gold embossing powder before cutting it all out. After adding foam adhesive to the back of the word fabulous I also added some gold thread before adhering it to the Kraft panel. And you can't go wrong with a few flat backed gems to finish the card off."

Love the colors, the embossing, the fussy cutting...I just love it all!

Hey folks, our SALE ends tomorrow! If you're wanting an in stock item from our LOVE collection, you should get it now while the awesome pricing remains! midnight, Valentine's Day, it all goes away!

Nora has a delightful card to get your creativity popping.
She got inky with our Puffy Heart Love!

I love this! The background designer paper is so cute and fun!
oh wait...that's not designer paper, she stamped that!!
Here's how she did it.
"I created the background using Peace and Comfort and the hearts from Peace Love and Coffee, as well as some doodling. I then used glitter glue and sequins in the heart in the sentiment."

Super cute and a lot of love went into it :) This great stamp set and all of our Love Collection stamps and dies are on sale through February 14th but you better hurry, it's while supplies last!

Here's a fun idea, right! We have lots of fantastic inspiration in store for you over the next couple of months! Each of the Girl Fridays has invited the designer of their choice to join them here for a special guest design post. Together they've chosen a set to work with and then we let their creative mojos take over! The best part is we get to see the fabulous results!

Today Jeanne has invited her sweet friend Nancy Penir to join us for some fun! This is what Jeanne told me about Nancy and I have to share it with you.
"I'm a big fan of Nancy! She has a delightful way of bringing projects to life and adding color. She's not afraid to get her hands inky! It's always a treat to find a stenciled background, inked up die cuts, a smear of texture paste, or a sprinkle of glitter! And just like me she LOVES pattern paper!"

Oh my goodness! I'm so excited to see what these 2 amazing ladies have in store for us today!
Are you ready? They got inky with the Coffee Cup Fri-Die.
First up is Jeanne

How fun is that?! I love all the little brightly colored mugs strung across the top. They bring out all the colors in her fun patterned papers! The Pretty Posies flowers at the bottom of her big mug add a really pretty element to her card. Just adorable!

Next us is Nancy!

Lookie at what she did! She cut the Coffee word from vellum and made it be her steam! So fun!
I really like the little coffee mugs stamped in a coffee color as a background for her focal point panel.
The sentiment embossed on both the cardfront and the round panel is cleverly placed and adds a fun texture. Super awesome card!

Be sure to visit Jeanne and Nancy's blogs to leave the a little love and get extra details about their fabulous creations.

Stars Fri-Dies is Back in Stock!!

Kimberly has a treat for you today! Our Stars Fri-Dies is back in stock...finally! And she got her ink on with it in a big way!

Aren't those stars pretty! She used a couple of little Fun-Fetti Fri-Dies stars to add a little whimsy, and paired sentiments from Rad 2 with Floating.

Here is how she made this card:
"The stars were created using the ink smooshing technique with Distress Oxide inks and water. I swiped glossy paper into the inks and dried with my heat tool between layers of color. Once finished, I added a sealant layer of Micro Glaze and die cut the stars with my die cutting machine."

Perfect for a new job, new life, graduation or anything woot wooting about.

Did I mention we have a SALE happening right now?? Our entire LOVE collection is on SALE now through Valentine's Day while supplies last! Check it out!

How about a giveaway??
Leave a comment here telling Kimberly how much she rocks and I'll choose a random winner to send the Stars Fri-Dies to! Cuz that's how we do Wednesday at CAS-ual Fridays!

Coffee Talk With Shona and Coni!!

Here's a fun idea, right!  Each of the Girl Fridays has invited the designer of their choice to join them here for a special guest design post. Together they've chosen a set to work with and then we let their creative mojos take over! The best part is we get to see the fabulous results!

Today is Shona's turn and she has invited the delightful Coni Longley to join her for a little Coffee Talk! How fun is that?! Coni has been a long time supporter of CAS-ual Fridays so I am tickled pink to have her here today on the blog!
Shona and Coni have developed a fast friendship despite the fact they've never met in person and live in different countries. Don't you just love blogland?? This special post will be fun and inspirational for you, but for us, it's also a celebration of their friendship AND I hope it honors all the friendships that have been formed because of our crafting hobbies. I think we can all relate to this :)

Are you ready? It's time for some watercoloring and Coffee Talk with Shona and Coni!!
First up is Shona

Love the way she washed the color on for an ombre look. She used the inlaid die cut technique to cut her Coffee Cup Fri-Die and then lay it right back in. It gives a cool embossed look, and keeps her card flat for mailing. The sassy sentiment from Coffee Talk will surely deliver a smile to the recipient!

And now, you get to meet Coni through her work! Hold onto your coffee cups!!

Now THAT is a whole lot of watercoloring goodness in a cup! I love the drip of coffee running down the side and onto the counter and don't even get me started on her steamy coffee hovering above the cup! I'm totally doing the happy monkey clap!

Starlequin background and a pretty washes of color...yum! She decorated her To Go Cup die cut with our Mon Ami and colored it in the same colors as her background.

Yay! She cut a whole set of little coffee mugs and watercolored each one in a happy color. Don't they look delightful against the kraft background?

Lastly, she used our new Heart to Heart background stamp to decorate her Coffee Cup die cut.
This one is just fun to look at isn't it? So many little details that go into making this and the result is pure fun!

And THAT is how we do Coffee Talk with Shona and Coni!

Lovely Links are back!

I'm so happy that Lovely Links Fri-Dies is back in stock! It's such a pretty die that also cuts a bazillion hearts that are fun to use on all sorts of projects. Today Lisa has created a really pretty card using this awesome die set with a little help from Lovely Greetings and Scallop Tags Fri-Dies.

Here's how she did it!
"To create this card I started by diecutting the Lovely Links Fri-Dies three times across a white panel. I then popped out all of the intricate die pieces and layed the die cut back over the negative space and against patterned paper. I didn't want to hide my background too much so I decided to stamp my sentiment from the Lovely Greetings stamp set onto a diecut tag made with the Scallop Tag Fri-Dies. This was tied onto some white and silver twine, and the entire panel was propped up with foam adhesive onto a gray cardbase. As a last thought I added one white heart cut out onto the tag itself."
Be sure to visit Lisa's blog to find the special discount code she has waiting for you!
It will come in handy this week! The big stamp set reorder has shipped and should be here by Friday! Hurray!!

Heart Shaped Flowers

I have a really pretty card to share with you today that is loaded with stamping goodness!
Nora got inky with our Peace & Comfort and added in a little genius creativity to create this stunning card.

Here's what she said about her creative process: "I created a little branch of leaves on this card using the Peace and Comfort Set and a marker. Also made some little heart flowers using the Love and Coffee set."

That gorgeous background is not designer's completely handstamped!!
If you look closely at the little yellow flowers you'll see that she stamped the little tiny heart to create a special flower! Isn't it sweet?
And she stamped the background leaf from Peace & Comfort to make a pretty vine too. I love how she drew in the stem and added a little shading to the leaves. It looks like a stamp! So much creativity went into this creation and the result is gorgeous! What a lovely comfort card this is and I'm sure it would absolutely be a day brightener for someone.
