October Release Day 1

It's time for our October Release!!
We have 4 super awesome stamp sets to debut this week, and they'll ALL be available in the store for you on Saturday!
Each day we'll show you a new stamp set, lots of jaw dropping creativity using the new set, and there will be many chances to win prizes too!

5 years ago we had our first ever release. The first ever stamp set to make its debut was called WTF. I promise you it was a totally rated G stamp set! I have always referred to 40 and 50 as the f-word birthdays so this set was a very tongue in cheek set that made for a lot of awesome 40 and 50 year old birthday cards. Last year it retired and I know a lot of you were sad, but I had a master plan *grin*
Next year I will turn 50...ug! I think I'm pretty hip, fun and sassy, so I wanted a hipper, funner (I know that's not really a word) sassier looking version of WTF.
Please welcome the redesigned version of the original classic, WTF 2!

This funny set will absolutely get an initial gasp but it should be quickly followed by laughter.
A bold and funky font adds a little whimsy to the set and will give you lots of options to get creative in decorating it. The inclusion of the word somethin' will make it easy for you to make a birthday card for any one of the 40 or 50 birthdays. You can also use it as a congratulations card with the WOW that's fantastic, or it could also be used for forgotten birthdays of any age with the Who totally forgot sentiment. This is a stamp set you'll have a lot of fun using and a lot of fun gifting too :)
Let's see this baby in action!

Calling All Sistahs!

Today is the 17th of the month!
I'm here today to remind you of the importance of early detection.
Please do your self exam and get your mammogram scheduled if you are due.
I have mine scheduled for 10am today! I'm hoping to get the all clear which will then officially mark 2 years cancer free for me! Am I nervous? You bet I am!
No one wants to find a lump.
No one wants to be told something was discovered on their mammogram.
No one wants cancer!
But finding that lump or being told about a discovery EARLY can make ALL the difference in your ability to fight and beat it.
YOU MATTER!

Please join my amazing Encouragement Squad on the Calling All Sistahs blog today to see lovely cards created using stamps and dies from our special Calling All Sistahs collection. For the month of October, I've increased my 50% profit donation to 75%!
Just in time, Word Ribbon is back in stock!

Tomorrow the October Sneak Peeks begin!

I hope you find some time to get your ink on today :)

Never Give Up border

This wonderful card from Maureen uses our Hope Fri-Die, Ruffled Ribbon Fri-Die and Hope Ribbon stamps from our Calling All Sistahs Collection
This month I am donating 75% of the profits from this special collection to NBCF.org to support their breast cancer awareness programs.

I like how she stamped the never give up hope sentiment several times at an angel to create a designer border. She double cut the ribbon die in 2 colors and layered them to give a shadowy look. Looks great with the black stamped flowery ribbon!

I hope you find some time to get your ink on today :)

Truth Is Happy Birthday

5 years ago we made our big debut! One of the sets from that first ever release was Truth Is.
To celebrate our 5th birthday we have a fantastic SALE going on AND we also have a special on Truth Is!

Simply add Truth Is to your shopping cart and check out. We'll automatically include the FREE Truth Blooms Fri-Die in your package of happy mail :)

Maureen created a wonderful birthday card for you today using Truth Is and Truth Blooms!

I love how she left it simple in black and white but added color behind it with the pretty ombre stamped Curtis Background. The darling sentiment is from Heartfelt Sayings, a wonderful collection of everyday sentiments that have those sweet little hearts speckled into the words.
Curtis Background and Heartfelt Sayings are both part of our 5th Birthday SALE so be sure to check it out!

I hope you find some time to get your ink on today :)

Hope

We've turned the blog pink for October in honor of Breast Cancer Awareness month.
But that's not all!
Normally, we donate 50% of the profits from our special Calling All Sistahs Collection all year long.
But for the month of October we've increased our giving to 75% to nbcf.org to help support their awareness programs.

Lisa created a darling card using some of the collection! Let's see what she said about it:

"I love going girly with the Calling All Sistahs Collection, and this time I tried to achieve this look in a softer way. To start off I die cut my tag from the Tag Buddies Fri-dies Set with heart patterned paper. I added the Hope Fri-die over the top in a slightly darker pink. After tying on some ribbon and adhering it with foam tape to patterned paper I stamped my sentiment from the Hope Ribbon Stamp Set in a dark grey ink. I had quite a few hearts from a past project using the Lovely Links Fri-dies and added a few diagonally around my tag. Thanks so much!

It's such a cheerful card! Perfect for brightening the day of someone who is going through it. I promise you they need day brighteners. We'd love to see your own encouragement cards at our Calling All Sistahs Encouragement Card Challenge! Each month we provide a new inspiration board for you to use to create an encouragement card.

Go ahead...lick the frosting off the plate!

It's a fun word to say!
It was a really fun stamp set to design too!

And look what it can do! Lisa created this cool looking card using Shenanigans.

Here's what she said about it:
"To create this card I used the super fun Birthday set called Shenanigans, and embossed my sentiment onto watercolor cardstock with white embossing powder. Next, I used the "smooshing" technique by coloring onto an acrylic block with Spectrum Noir Sparkle Pens, spritzed it with water and smooshed it over my sentiment. I went back a second time with the left over ink on the block to add more color in the top and bottom corners. Lastly I added some fun washi tape, star sequins, and patterned paper to finish my card off."

Shenanigans is on sale for our 5th birthday! Be sure to check out our SALE to see Shenanigans and LOTS more fun stamp and die sets that are also included!

I hope you find some time to get your ink on today :)

Breathe It Will Be OK

We are proud to be sponsoring the challenge at Time Out Challenges!
There is still a little time left to play in their current challenge which carries the theme of Breast Cancer Awareness and Friendship. Something most near and dear to my heart!

Our Shona is also their Shona and she created this card using our Breathe stamp set to inspire your creativity. It took my breath away!

Here's how she made this stunning creation!
"Firstly I gathered all my pink inks and lined them up. I cut a panel of white CS and began stamping with the shape from the CAS-ual Fridays Stamps Breathe stamp set, keeping the end of it in the middle of the panel on the left hand side. I just moved it around slightly each time, alternating the colours as I went. When I was happy with it I cut it down slightly and put on the card front using foam tape.

The sentiment (from the same stamp set) was white heat embossed on a piece of plain vellum. I cut it down to a rectangle shape but then used the smaller circle die from the CAS-ual Fridays Stamps Ornament Tag Fri-Dies to die-cut the end of it to cause a curved edge. I added small pieces of double-sided tape behind the words and pressed it into place, and glued on sequins from the CAS-ual Fridays Stamps Calling All Sistah's Sistahood Sparkle Sequin Mix
